Vegware's PLA cold-drink cups are made from polylactic acid (PLA), a bioplastic produced from corn and other natural starches such as wheat. These items are ideal for drinks up to 120°F.
The cold cups have a smooth finish and are as light and strong as their oil-based counterparts, although they are made from annually-renewable resources, are fully compostable, and generate fewer greenhouse gasses during production.
